Reading through the latest list of Trump's lies, it's perhaps less interesting that he lies so readily than what he lies about.
It doesn't really matter what the topic; as long as it is someone he has a beef with, he is happy to make up a lie about them. If it's about something he said or did, he's happy to make something up to spin himself as hero or savior. This is a man with serious problems, not the least of which is his absolute refusal to acknowledge that he plays a part in any of them.
But we knew this. We elected him anyhow.
Perhaps someone close to him could plant the idea that he could be the first person to move from the presidency back into his former (and current) business. No one in the US has ever used the office so profitably. Never before have so few owed so much to so many. He's a genius.
But if he were to leave office, what would we have? His sycophants and enablers. We knew he was a blowbag, and we know it still. For all his confusing yammer, it is quite clear who he is: a man who can't stand sharing the limelight. One who pretends to shed his faults by projecting them onto others. A fraud.
So if he were to leave office, we would be left with those who are equally deviant but far less blatant. No, let him stay in office, and let us see him for what he is and make our decisions.

Your thoughts are welcome! I'll try not to flinch if there are nasty ones, which I understand are fairly common nowadays.
