Robins
The robins, or perhaps a robin, began singing at about 4:00 this morning, if singing is the right term. Robins have this sort of drunken or haphazard song that is never quite consistent. I propose that this is the result of sleep deprivation.
What I thought was a robin at 4 AM, may have been a vireo instead. I shall have to listen some other early morning in late Spring and try to determine. Either bird however has that irregular lilt that could be attributed to drunkenness or sleep deprivation, the latter seeming more likely.
